Carla Hart, MSEd

Carla Hart, MSEd, is a Content Strategist for National Healthcareer Association, a brand of Ascend Learning, LLC.

Her current work includes workforce development and strategic operations around education and training solutions for students, professionals, educators and employers in healthcare professions across the country.

She has held a variety of positions, including classroom teaching in traditional and alternative schools, training and coaching adults in classroom management, educational and behavioral strategies for youth and crisis interventions.

One area of passion sits with helping individuals understand and advocate for needed and appropriate accommodations based on federal laws and state regulations. She incorporated this passion into her work within Children’s Hospital settings where she created and sustained K-12 medical-education and transition programs for chronic and seriously ill and injured students across the country.

Carla received a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Florida State University and a master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis on learning, behavior and the brain from George Mason University in Virginia.

In her free time, she enjoys throwing themed parties, doing anything outdoors, reading and being a foodie. Fun Fact: Carla was on the Synchronized Swim Team in college.
